Mini tutorial: Create custom brushes in Photoshop

With the basic tools in Photoshop you can create custom brushes using objects, stains, scribbles, photographs and images taken from real life set of brushes and imported into the digital program.
Through the method Define Brush so you can use a brush designed to create striking graphics copyright.
This tutorial is divided into two parts. In the first part explains how to create custom brushes and digitized.
In second part we will create a graphic composition using custom brushes, vector graphics, blending modes and imagination.

PART 1: CREATE AN AD-HOC BRUSH
1. PHOTOGRAPHY.
Arm yourself with a digital camera and started to look around .... what object can become a digital brush? If your imagination is baffled that question go to the kitchen and dial the following mixture:
ingredients: oil, balsamic vinegar, toothpick, white saucer;
procedure: let flow a little oil on the white saucer. Add a few drops sprinkled with balsamic vinegar. Take the toothpick and move the patch to create an interesting spot to your eyes. When you take a few shots from different positions trying to focus as much as possible to the spot in question (or part thereof).


2. BRUSH THE PHOTOGRAPH.
I MPort the best photos in Photoshop (versions CS and above).
Go to menu Image> Adjustments> Desaturate and thereby remove any information of color photography.
adjusts exposure and contrast (Image> Adjust> Levels, or Brightness and Contrast) in order to get dark spots on clear background. If you must change the patch manually using methods of fusion of different levels on multiple copies of the same. When you are satisfied with your work and choose the Elliptical Marquee tool create a selection that isolates the stain from the saucer and the rest of photo (if you hold down the Shift key while dragging the mouse you will get a perfect circle rather than an oval). Now go to Edit> Define Brush Preset. Enter an appropriate name for its future recognition. Pressing the inserer ok in the set of preset brushes from photoshop.



3. TEST THE BRUSH.
Open a new document in photoshop. Choose a color. Choose the Brush tool. Go to the instrument menu and scroll to the preset brushes find your. Click on the canvas work and see your creation.

4. SBIZZARITEVI .
Now you are free to create any type of brush. Your creations will have no limits. Photographed smoke, scribbling on paper, dusty tangles .... everything around you can be the basis for your future creations.
